I put the last stitch in minutes ago. I had forgotten how satisfying it can be to complete a quick stitch. :) I started this one on Friday (5/22/09) and finished it today (5/26/09). I really like a lot of Primitive Needle's designs. This one was a lot of fun to stitch. So much so that I am thinking about putting the first stitches into Cape Cod Girls tonight. :)
On another stitching note, I found some new-to-me needles that I really like. They are made by Bohin. I have the #26 ones, and I think they glide through fabric so smoothly. I do most of my stitching in hand, and these seem to go through the fabric better than any others that I have tried. What are some of your favorite "must have" stitching tools?
Beautiful job! I recently bought this one and can't wait to start it myself!
ReplyDeleteI really like this design! And I totally agree about the satisfaction of finishing something, instead of having it hanging in the wings month after month.
ReplyDeleteI like the Piecemaker 28 needles--wish they made a 30. The finer, the better. And although I have several embroidery scissors, I have a particular tiny pair that I love. Snip snip!
Great finish!! I have this one in my stash too - I am never gonna finish anything, lol.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I love your Earth Sampler Finish! It is so nice! I think that I may have to do that one in the near future. I think I could use a relatively quick stitch. And I have used the Bohin needles also and I love them. A friend of mine bought a pack and didn't like them, but I really think they're nice. Go through the fabric so smoothly. I also, for some strange reason, like the John James Petites too. Two totally different needles. Perhaps it's the fabric I'm using that determines what I use.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! It's in the top 5 next projects!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish ;) I finished this earlier this year and it is a satisfying finish!
ReplyDeletePiecemaker Needles...24, 26, 28 depending on my fabric size....LOVE THEM! And my Needlework System 4 floor stand, stitching wouldn't be stitching without it!
Phew, lots of wonderful stitching to catch up on with your blog! Beautiful, beautiful stuff. Congrats on the finishes. YGG!!
ReplyDeleteGreat finish! how did you manage to stitch it so quickly, lol. Your needle must have been smokin!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic finish! And a quick one, too! :)
ReplyDeleteMy must-have stitching tools are Gingher scissors, an OTT Lite, and Q-snaps. I'm not really picky about needles but I do love petites.
Congrats on another beautiful finish! Did you use recommended colors, because yours look more vibrant and I'm loving it! or maybe your pic is better than the pattern's pic:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job! I really like Primitive Needle designs. Needles - I like John James Petites 28. I haven't heard of Bohin.
